KALIMATH
Kalimath is situated close to Ukhimath, and Guptakashi. It is one of the “Siddha Peeths” of the region and is held in high religious esteem. The temple of Goddess Kali located here is visited by a large number of devotees round the year and specially during the “Navratras”.
HOW TO REACH:
nearest airport is at Dehradun.
Rishikesh Railway Station is the nearest railhead. Kalimath can be reached by road from Guptkashi, and Rudraprayag.
A beautiful trek from Guptkashi. One can go through the dense forest which has a combination of flora and fauna and one loooong stretch of steep up hill climb

Vrati Baba : was a sage of the Himalayas in
the truest sense of the word, being an adept of
the highest of the Tantras. He was Baba of the most
sacred Kalimath for many decades.
On November 10, 2000 Vrati Baba announced that he was
going to leave his body, and that he was passing on his legacy to two people,
The village of Kalimath is about 6,000 feet above sea level, along a tributary to the Ganges. It is accessible by the foot bridge shown in the picture.
